Since 2002 Louis Bierman has more than proven himself in the property market and his name is well known in the Potchefstroom area.  As with many of us in life it took a few twists and turns to get there…

After completing his study in Agriculture in 1976, Louis worked in the agricultural sector and started part time farming. Louis already had the passion and drive for entrepreneurship and business.

In 1985, he established his own animal feed manufacturing plant, Alfa Voere on the farm Alicedale, just outside the small town of Greylingstad in the Standerton district. After 17 years of business, the financial state in the agricultural industry plummeted and he had to make the difficult decision to close the factory and go forward in search of a new challenge.

With knowledge of construction, he saw an opportunity in the property market in the beautiful town of Potchefstroom.

From the get go it was clear that there was a need for up-market houses with modern finishes. It was the perfect opportunity to establish him in the property market and to take on a new challenge.

After finding a full-time contractor, Louis Bouwer, and the perfect piece of land, he started with his first 12 house security complex, in 2002, called La Rochelle – named after his birthplace in the Vrede district in the Free State.

With this, he established Louis Bierman Property Developers (Pty) Ltd. Initially three show houses were built and it didn’t take long for buyers to be impressed by the quality of the finishes and the workmanship. Within months it was sold-out.

The projects that LBE did:
  • La Rochelle – 12  (Full title Town houses)

  • La Bohème – 10  (Free standing houses)

  • Villa Toscana – 9  (Upmarket Tuscan style houses)

  • Bali Hoff – 14  (Sectional title townhouse complex)

  • Sunnyview – 6  (Town houses)

  • Vivaldi Manor – 16  (Upmarket cluster development houses)

  • Tuscany Ridge – 7  (Free standing houses)

  • Parys Golf & Eco Estate – 1 (Free standing house)

  • Encore – 1  (Full title Cluster house completed)

  • Sole mandate house projects  (Quite a few)

After the success of his first development it was already clear that he was committed to quality and excellence.

With the sucess of these developments LBE was awarded in 2005 by the NHBRC (National home building registration council ) as Highly Commended Best Home Builder of the Year with houses to the value above R1.5 million in North West.

In 2010 LBE went in a whole new direction with his next development Vivaldi Manor. This 17 house cluster complex was a breath of fresh air in a rather “conservative” market in Potchefstroom. The contemporary look and functional floor-plans made this development one of “the addresses” in town! With each house the journey with the client started from the concept phase and continued until the finishing touches.

As a further celebration of the success and beauty of this development, three of the houses were featured in the SA Home Owner magazine! The quality and attention to detail truly shined in these articles!

It is Louis Bierman’s mission in life to make every building experience a joyful and exciting journey for each client. He is committed to quality control and ensuring that only the best available products and contractors are used.

He takes the client through the entire process from the concept phase right up to handing over the key to their dream house. Each client is treated with undivided attention and care.

It is Louis Bierman’s belief that a house is not merely a structure but a place where people can interact and live. It gives him great joy and fulfilment to give people the chance to get the Home they always wanted…not just a house.

We do our own developments, but we also do project management for people who already have their own stands.  We prefer to be involved from the initial planning up to the final hand over of the keys.

We are currently in the planning phase for the Uitspan @ de Land project.

Above all – “Soli Deo Gloria”. To God alone all the honour!
